The Summerland adventure began in 2003 when I took my first upholstery class. A year and a half later, I found myself scrambling to fill a space at an antique show in Spokane, WA which turned out to be one of the most eye-opening events of my life. Over the past 9 years I’ve built up a custom reupholstery client base, designed and produced my own furniture, wholesaled to various boutiques, opened an online shop, added comprehensive interior design services, partnered with our local salvage store in creating window displays and began offering workshops. My husband Scott and I make a great team too. We both love the thrill of the salvage hunt and putting our minds together to create one-of-a-kind furniture and interiors. Our partnership even won us a home makeover contest! Life is an amazing adventure complete with incomprehensible highs to heartbreaking lows. No matter where my life is on the spectrum, I always choose to believe that exciting opportunities to learn and grow surround me. I also believe that passion can take you places you never dreamed were possible. I count myself truly blessed to have discovered my passion and am astounded that in such a short time Summerland Style was born and continues to grow and change.
